The SAM System with SAM Smart Nozzle technology was engineered to give the crew more control over the fireground and get water on the fire faster. With SAM, the crew is free to focus on the fire rather than the pump.
And now, the enhanced Smart Nozzle 2.0 equips the crew with more:
- Safety: A ring of light from the nozzle guides the nozzle operator to self-rescue
- Power: The updated nozzle requires a single battery and lasts longer

More Control from the Nozzle: Charge your own line from the nozzle – without making calls back to the truck.
Water Supply Insight: View water supply level and source on the nozzle dashboard to confidently mount the attack.
Self-Rescue: Triggered at the panel, a ring of light on the nozzle can help a lost firefighter find their hoseline quickly and exit the structure.
Accounts for Friction Loss: The SAM Smart Nozzle monitors pressure at the nozzle itself to identify low pressure at the nozzle from kinks in the line or changes in elevations or hose lengths.
