The device consists of an aluminum platform equipped with a foldable ladder on each end. The ladders have adjustable feet which can be used to level out uneven surfaces. A guardrail can be inserted on both sides of the basic platform. The device can also be used on rails by fitting a separately available set of wheels (not included in the scope of delivery).
