Captium Connect Specification 

Designed and developed exclusively for emergency responder apparatus, a Captium vehicle telemetry control unit shall be capable of installation on new vehicles and retrofit on existing vehicles to provide users access to information collected from their apparatus via a secure cloud data hub that guarantees secure communication via encrypted channels from any web browser.

 The Captium vehicle telemetry control unit shall connect to the Captium cloud data hub via integrated cellular modem and GPS or optionally interoperable with an onboard mobile modem/router in lieu of integrated cellular modem via ethernet connection or optionally to any allowable Wi-Fi hotspot priority will be to connect to ethernet connection when available.

 The Captium vehicle telemetry control unit shall be compatible with OBDII, J1939, V-MUX and Es-Key networks and authorized firefighting waterflow systems such as pump governors and other vehicle-networked equipment. 

 The Captium Data Hub shall display:

  • Each vehicle identified by VIN and user-defined identification name / number.
  • Location of vehicle by GPS
  • Last update time
  • Chassis health and diagnostics
  • Vehicle alert notifications and maintenance reminders
  • Run log recording
  • Over-the-air programming updates
